God’s love does not distinguish between the infant in the mother’s womb or the child or the youth or the adult or the older person. In each one God sees His image and likeness. Human life is a manifestation of God and His glory.
~Pope Benedict XVI
The 19th of January, 2012 marked the 13th Anniversary of World Respect Life Day under the theme 'Educating Young People in Justice and Peace’. And, as always, the Convent High School ensured that this day was one for, not only the students, but the country to commemorate. Surely, the students and teachers alike combined their talents to create an, undoubtedly, memorable occasion.

Indeed, it is the most wonderful time of the year. It is the time of giving, receiving and sharing in the joy of others, it is the Christmas Season.
Throughout this year we all have been through some sort of difficulty. We have made mistakes, we have failed God, we have failed others and we have failed our own selves. However, all is not lost! The birth of Christ was meant to give us peace on earth. Thus we must allow this peace to reign within our hearts and bring us to newness in our Christian walk. If we allow peace to reign within our hearts we will have a better school, a better Dominica and in turn a better world. So as we embrace this Christmas season let us look unto Jesus as a symbol of hope, peace and new beginnings. Thus may Peace be our gift at Christmas and our blessing all year through!
On this note I will not wish you a Merry Christmas or a happy New Year, in addition, I wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a peaceful New Year. May God be your guide as you leave the past, embrace the present and look towards the future.
